ElvalHalcor constantly invests in and is committed to sustainable development, thereby creating value for its stakeholders, emphasizing on the circular economy model, and supporting the transition to a green economy. The Company’s strategic orientation is to contribute to the pursuit of the UN’s Global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as well as the goals of the European Green Deal.
The recent certification (July 2020) of Elval, ElvalHalcor’s aluminium rolling division, under the Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) Performance Standard, confirms our commitment to responsible development and manufacturing demonstrating the efficiency of the processes and methods we follow towards environmental protection, social responsibility and corporate governance.
In January 2021, Halcor, ElvalHalcor’s copper & alloys extrusion division joined the Ecovadis rating platform, receiving a silver medal for its responsible business practices (copper tubes plant). Moreover, Halcor is proud to become a partner (June 2021) of the #The Copper Mark and commits to work in cooperation with the organization to support improvements in environmental, social and corporate governance performance in all aspects of the copper value chain. Halcor’s goal is to participate in the assurance process as soon as it is available for manufacturers (it is expected by 2023 onwards).
