The Sofia Med copper and copper alloy processing plant produces rolled and extruded copper products and copper alloy products. The plant is located in Sofia, Bulgaria, occupies 250,000 m2 and manufactures the following products, all of which are used in a diverse range of building, industrial and electrical applications and automotive industry:
- Sheets
- Strips
- Plates
- Disks
- Rods
- Bare and plated copper bus bars
- Profiles
- Components
- Wires.
The copper and copper alloy processing plant has three production units: foundry, rolling and extrusion mills.
Sofia Med’s high capacity and efficient operations are the result of a major investment plan realised over the last twenty years.
The Sofia Med plant is certified according to ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 50001:2011 and ISO 45001:2018 and conforms to the ISO 26000:2010 guideline in Corporate Social Responsibility.
