Symetal – Oinofyta and Mandra plants, Greece

Symetal has two production facilities - a rolling plant in Oinofyta and a converting plant in Mandra.

Rolling plant (Oinofyta, Viotia)

The Oinofyta rolling plant produces plain aluminium foil in a range of thicknesses and alloys for various uses, including flexible packaging, pharma, semi-rigid containers, technical and household use. It has an annual capacity of 52,000 tons and covers 23,000 m2, on a plot of 40,000 m2.

The plant can produce foil for:

• Food containers
• Cigarette packaging
• Household aluminium foil

And a number of technical applications (cables, insulations, heat exchangers, etc.).

Converting plant (Mandra, Attica)

The Mandra converting plant has an annual capacity of 26,000 tons. It coats foil manufactured at the Oinofyta plant with lacquer and embosses it, producing foil used for packaging applications in the food, cigarette and pharmaceutical sectors. Its facilities cover 12,500 m2, on a plot of 24,000 m2.

Following an EUR 8 million investment plan, the plant is now one of the most advanced in the world.
