Symetal – Oinofyta and Mandra plants, Greece
Symetal has two production facilities - a rolling plant in Oinofyta (Viotia) and a converting plant in Mandra (Attica) incorporating cutting-edge technology.
Rolling plant (Oinofyta, Viotia)
The Oinofyta rolling plant produces aluminium foil in a wide range of thicknesses and alloys for various uses, including flexible and pharmaceutical packaging, food containers, rechargeable batteries for the automotive industry and various technical applications (cable insulations, heat exchangers etc.). It has an annual capacity of 52,000 tons and covers 26,100 m2, on a plot of 41,900 m2.
Converting plant (Mandra, Attica)
The Mandra converting plant has an annual capacity of 31,500 tons and specialises in processing aluminium foil for various packaging applications, carrying out paper laminating and coating of aluminium foil with various types of lacquers for products used in the food, pharmaceutical, and cigarette industries. Its facilities cover 15,200 m2, on a plot of 28,000 m2.
Following an EUR 8 million investment plan, the plant is now one of the most advanced in the world.
