"An exports-oriented Greece – Export Leaders Awards 2021."

ElvalHalcor was distinguished as the Export Leader 2021 during the "An exports-oriented Greece - Export Leaders 2021" forum held online on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, in an event dedicated to the Greek economy and entrepreneurship, organised by New Times Publishing which for yet another year raised awareness and awarded our country's companies/Export Leaders.

Mr Spyros Kokkolis, Chief Financial Officer of ElvalHalcor, who participated in the live streaming event, stated that: "For us, our exports driven focus has been a strategic choice for decades. From very early on, after establishing ourselves in the domestic market, we realised that the way to grow and improve is to export. Our efforts based on continuous improvement and extraversion were the single path forward, and we followed that path successfully. Referring to ElvalHalcor's investment activity, Mr. Kokkolis noted that in the last decade, investments in total exceeded EUR 500 million, while in 2019 alone, they amounted to EUR 164 million, highlighting the fact that most of these investments were executed within Greece.

In addition, Mr Kokkolis stated that: "We have focused particularly both on exports and continuous investments. Our commitment is to create shared value across everything we do, in line with the sustainability principles. With recyclable products, using an ever-increasing percentage of scrap in our production and introduction of technologies that ensure the environmentally friendly recycling of metals, certified by the Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI Performance Standard) for the aluminium rolling division, investments in environmental protection projects to several other resource-saving practices. For us, being a responsible business with sustainability criteria plays both an important role in our successful extroverted activity as well as our future."
