ElvalHalcor received three awards at the “Bravo Sustainability Dialogue & Awards 2019”
As part of the Bravo Sustainability Dialogue & Awards, ElvalHalcor received a total of three awards that reaffirm the company's commitment to the principles of Sustainable Development and its dedication to implementing responsible business practices. The awards event took place on Wednesday, 18 December 2019, at the Athens Concert Hall.
The best practices that ElvalHalcor was distinguished for at this year’s Bravo Awards are the following:
- “Boost your career. We elVALUE next generation” practice (Society category: education-next generation & lifelong learning subcategory).
- Delacquering – aluminum melting furnaces (Environment category: Climate change responsiveness subcategory).
- “Circular economy and plastic waste management (Environment category: waste management and circular economy subcategory).
ElvalHalcor invests heavily in Sustainable Development and consistently pursues responsible development through implementing best practices. ElvalHalcor invests in its people, as well as the new generation, as evidenced by the "Boost your career. We elVALUE next generation" practice, designed and implemented at Elval’s facilities. With the objective of protecting the environment, the company is making significant investments on environmental protection projects, an example being its delacquering – aluminum melting furnaces for recycling aluminium with environmentally friendly technology and following best industry practices. ElvalHalcor implements programs that contribute to the continuous improvement of its environmental performance, such as the circular economy program in the management of plastic waste.
