ElvalHalcor is awarded at Bravo Sustainability Dialogue & Awards 2023

For yet another year, ElvalHalcor was distinguished at Bravo Sustainability Dialogue & Awards 2023, in the Environment Pillar, for the Water Saving and Smart Water Management practice implemented by Halcor (ElvalHalcor's Copper and Alloys Extrusion Division), sealing once again the company's commitment to the principles of Sustainable Development and to the implementation of responsible business practices. The awards ceremony was held at the Basil & Elise Goulandris Foundation by QualityNet Foundation.

ElvalHalcor steadily invests in Sustainable Development and seeks to ensure its continuous responsible operation and growth by applying sound business practices. Aiming at the efficient use of water in its facilities, the company focuses on developing actions that will reduce its consumption and increase its reuse. In this context, ElvalHalcor's Copper and Alloys Extrusion Division implements a certified water management system, in accordance with the ISO 46001:2019 standard. Among other things, the system includes actions for the reuse of water both from the production process and rainwater, as well as the reuse of water in the brass-related production processes that are in a pilot stage.

Receiving the award, Mr. Vassilis Solidakis, IMS & Compliance Manager of ElvalHalcor's Copper and Alloys Extrusion Division, said: “This distinction is very important, as it concerns a practice for the rational management of a precious resource such as water. Today's award belongs to the entire Halcor team because the effort that has been made over the past few years is collective. I would like to thank my Halcor colleagues and the Management for supporting the work that we do. The foundations have now been laid for better water management, in order to ensure this invaluable resource for generations to come."
